Unfortunately, monetizing meditation videos on youtube doesn't work that way anymore - due to youtube's policies on repetitious and reused content. Let's take for example this meditation channel here from the rain sounds subniche called "Lluvia Para Dormir", which is spanish and can be translated as "rain for sleep" or something similar, my spanish is a bit rusty.... As you can see, this is a relatively small channel having gathered so far approximately 40 thousand subscribers. The videos on this channel, though, seem to have a quite high popularity. Look....almost 80k views in less than a week. Quite impressing. And if we sort the videos on this channel by popularity, we see, that some of this channel's videos got even hundreds and hundreds of thousands of views in less than a month, which is incredible. Now, you might be thinking..."wow, that's great and all. Good for him or her. I don't think, though, you can make actually money with that type of videos anymore". Ok, let us check, if you're right about that. If we go over to a website called "socialblade.com", we see, that this channel here makes somehow around from 900 up to ....WOW....15k euros, which should be somehow around from 1.1k to 18k dollars per month from AdRevenue alone. Absolutely outstanding results. So, it is definitely possible to make huge amounts of passive money from AdRevenue on Youtube in the meditation niche in 2021, even if you have a small channel with a few thousands of subscribers. If, and that's a BIG IF, if you do it properly. Now, let us find out, what this channel does differently than most of its competitors, so that you can learn from it, model it and make even more money with your youtube cash cow channel in the sounds of nature niche in 2021 and beyond. Before we get to that, though, don't forget to smash that like button, guys, and to subscribe to my channel. Alright, so let's take a look at one of the most recently uploaded videos on that channel here. Well, let me skip the ad, first. Now, at first glance this video looks kinda....ordinary and normal...we see a cabin somewhere in the mountains and we see a lot rain drops falling. We clearly can hear the sound of the rain falling,...and this goes on for....almost 12 hour Sounds like a typical video from the relaxing sounds niche, doesnt it? Well, not exactly. The main difference is, videos like that are genuine. They have been created and uploaded by the channel owners themselves So no free stock footage, no free stock sounds or anything similar, but simple, genuine and original work made by real content creators. Read, for instance, in the about section of another example channel here: "We create all our own content. All audio/video is produced by us. Video footage is either filmed by ourselves or we have collaborated with other nature videographers, but we always own exclusive rights. " And that is the keypoint, guys. You can use freestock footage and free stock sounds for your meditation channel in 2021 and try to stay monetized as long as you can. Yes, you can do that. If you do a bit of editing, you can even increase the chances of staying monetized longer with your relaxing sounds videos, even if you used free stock material for it. You can never know with 100% certainty, though, if and when Youtube is going to demonetize your channel sooner or later, if you don't add your own value, your own twist to your meditation videos. So, the best, the safest and the most profitable way to make money on youtube with relaxing sounds in 2022 is to create your own stuff. That is the undeniable truth as of right now, guys. And I am not going to lie to you about that. But now - here's the good news: just take a closer look again at this rain sounds video and ask yourself honestly, guys: is creating a video like that one here really that complicated as it sounds? I mean, yea....that channel here, for instance, says something about fancy equipment and videographers
- but it all sounds, in my opinion, more professional than it really is. Sure, you can always improve the quality of your videos, if you invest in gear with higher quality....but doesn't that apply to all niches and all channels on youtube? In fact....most of the REAL viral videos out there on youtube are videoclips, that are so simple and "unprofessionally made", you wouldn't believe me, if you didn't see it with your own eyes. The truth is....you can "create"....I don't like to use the term "create" here....you can "create" simple 12 hours long videos like that here with your own smartphone. Easily, guys. Easily. Believe me. Any smartphone nowadays can record videos and audios with at least the quality that this example video here has. Just grab your smartphone, go out, find a peaceful place somewhere in the nature...for example in the woods, in the mountains, in your local park, near a river or the sea....and press record. Simple as that. I mean, sources of soothing sounds can be found literally everywhere: as long as you don't live in the middle of a desert, you will always have the opportunity to record rain falling sooner or later. And let me tell you, how you can easily scale this entire thing up and create even more creative and unique videos containing soothing and the most beautiful sounds of nature: it doesn't have to be rain. You can record literally anything in your close vicinity: the sound of birds singing, the barking of a dog (yes - some people find that relaxing, too), waves clashing against rocks, a rumbling thunder, the wind whistling - even the sound of your laundry machine washing your clothes or the sound of your vacuum cleaner can have a relaxing or soothing effect on your audience. You see? Sources of relaxing sounds for your meditation channels can be found literally everywhere. Just be a bit creative. And as you record them yourself, you have nothing to worry about, that your channel might get demonetized for reused or repetitious content. My advice for you would be: the next time, you witness rain falling or thunders rumbling, react fast, grab your smartphone and place it on your windowsill to record the sound of all of it. Even better, if the rain drops tap on your windows. That amplifies the soothing effect of your video. And once you left your smartphone to do the work for you, you can go and use the meantime to do whatever you like - you don't need to wait and stand there for 10 or 12 hours and hold the record button of your smartphone, you know what I mean, guys? You earn that money passively - meaning: you let others...in this case your smartphone or microphone or camera or whatever...to do the recording work for you - for as many hours as you like. While you can enjoy your free time or reinvest that time in other make money projects. That's why it's called "passive income".
